The Field Service Technician will provide field support for a specific geographic area in the Kansas City, Kansas and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will represent R.K. Black with the utmost integrity, personify friendliness, and possess exceptional organization skills and problem-solving skills. Some travel to other U.S. locations may be required for training.

Essential Job Functions:
Resolves equipment issues and builds client rapport.
Works independently, using a variety of hand tools and testing equipment.
Acquires the appropriate training certifications via web-based, on-the-job or remote instructor-lead training.
Consistently achieves the industry benchmark standards for the equipment supported
Manages a carstock parts inventory to within 2 percent.
Skills and Education:
Comp Tia Net+ Certification, or obtain within six months
Must possess a high sense of urgency
Knowledge and experience in a network environment
Read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings
Troubleshoot equipment failures and resolve the issue quickly and completely
Some college, vocational or military electro-mechanical experience
Possess exceptional organizational skills
Communicate clearly in verbal and written English
Self-starter and results oriented
Possess a valid driver’s license with clear driving record
Drive in a safe and defensive manner
Job Requirements:
Must possess valid Kansas driver’s license
Be able to stand, bend over, squat or sit for prolonged periods of time
Be able to use hands to work with tools, and feel for objects and controls
Be able to carry a tool kit, vacuum cleaner and other accessories up and down stairs
Maintain well groomed, neat and clean appearance
