Warehouse Support & Delivery Specialist

R.K. Black, Inc., an Oklahoma City-based office technology company providing solutions to businesses throughout Oklahoma and Kansas, is seeking a Warehouse Support & Delivery Specialist to serve from our Oklahoma City location.

As our Warehouse Support Specialist, you are responsible for having “the right item at the right place at the right time”. You apply your desire for accuracy and attention to detail to pulling, packing and shipping supply orders, re-stocking warehouse and technician inventory, organizing new equipment for set up, and performing related administrative tasks. You work closely with purchasing, delivery and service teams to bring inventory together for an outstanding client experience.

As an RK Black Delivery Specialist, you are the first impression our client experiences after the sale. Handling the client and their equipment with great care is paramount to a successful day at work.  We pride ourselves at going above and beyond the norm in this position to wow the client in the way we respect their property and people. You will work closely with our sales and service teams to coordinate getting the correct equipment to the right destination on time in perfect condition.  Daily activities included performing minor assembly, operational checks and entering equipment network settings while in clients’ offices.  Helping with warehouse duties is expected between and after deliveries.

​Minimum Requirements:

  • Education:

    • College Degree preferred, High School Diploma or GED a minimum

  • Experience:

    • 2 years’ general office work with emphasis on inventory management preferred

    • 2 years’ customer service experience

    • On the job use of computer and software

  • Other:

    • Mechanically inclined; Technical, mechanical use of hand tools

    • Possess a valid Oklahoma Driver’s License, be at least 21 and have reliable transportation

    • Experience driving box trucks is a plus

Essential Job Functions:

  • Utilizes business process management software for all order-related actions, including but not limited to creating, shipping, receiving and locating orders

  • Utilizes business process management software to receive freight and various other inventory control functions

  • Runs shipping/receiving desk, pulling and shipping up to 50 supply orders daily via UPS or FedEX

  • Receive inspect and check in all shipping and freight

  • Unbox, tag, group and stage equipment by sales order for set up per sales order

  • Manage the return of used equipment to lease companies and wholesalers per established procedures

  • Operates company equipment in a safe and responsible manner (includes forklift, stair climber, dollies & vehicles)

  • Safeguards inventory and all personnel involved around the work area; maintains warehouse & office in a clean & orderly fashion

  • Ensures safe and timely delivery of equipment to clients, assists in set-up of equipment

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
The person capable of excelling in this position must:

  • Possess exceptional organizational skills

  • Be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • IT literate, capable of quickly learning new software

  • Demonstrate working knowledge of inventory flow dynamics

  • Demonstrate a desire / urgency to accomplish tasks set before him

  • Possess the interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with all levels of associates and clients

Physical Requirements:

  • Be able to stand and move freely, and sit for prolonged periods of time

  • Be able to lift heavy objects from floor to over waist heights (up to 50 pounds)

  • Be able to carry heavy objects up and down stairs

  • No visible tattoos or piercings, except for ear piercings for women, that cannot be covered by appropriate business attire during work hours.
