Purchasing Specialist

As our Purchasing Specialist, you’ll be responsible for purchasing “the right item at the right price at the right time”. You’ll create sales orders, place purchase orders, and maintain equipment inventory, working closely with our Billing Specialist team, and delivery and service teams. Your attention to detail and ability to work inventory magic will help us create a tremendous client experience.   • College Degree preferred, High School Diploma or GED a minimum
  • 2 years’ general office work with emphasis on inventory management preferred
  • 2 years’ customer service experience
  • On the job use of computer and software, proficient in Microsoft Office software
  • Experience with inventory control and purchasing
  • Mechanically inclined; Technical, mechanical use of hand tools
  • 21 years of age, possess a valid Oklahoma Driver’s License and have reliable transportation

The Job

  • Create sales orders and place purchase orders for copier equipment using correct promotions and guidelines to secure cost savings
  • Follow sales order process from initial order creation to coordinating receipt and set-up of equipment
  • Update sales order workflow process in ERP software
  • File claim with Freight Carriers for missing or damaged products on PO’s
  • Request RA’s for equipment with our vendors.
  • Monitor hardware inventory using reporting software
  • Communicate with sales, service, and IT departments to track sales order process.
  • Manage return of used equipment to wholesalers
  • Accurately complete forms; maintain checklists, and file accurate inventory records
  • Operates company equipment in a safe and responsible manner (includes forklift, stair climber, dollies & vehicles)
  • Assist with quarterly warehouse inventory
  • Safeguard inventory and all personnel involved around the work area; maintain warehouse & office in a clean & orderly fashion
  • Assist the parts & supply associates, delivery & mobile shred team as needed

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Able to communicate effectively in written and spoken English

Physical Requirements

  • Able to stand and move freely, and sit for prolonged periods of time
  • Able to lift heavy objects from floor to over waist height (up to 50 pounds)
