Scanning Operator - Part-Time

R.K. Black, Inc., an Oklahoma City-based office technology company providing solutions to businesses throughout central Oklahoma, is seeking a scanning operator to serve in the Oklahoma City metro area.

We are looking for a high energy multi-tasker to join our Production Support Team as a Scanning Operator! Our Scanning Operator will work closely with our entire team on a variety of tasks using various scanning software applications. As a vital part of the Production Support Team, you’ll thrive on accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism. Some flexibility with work hours possible. 


  • High School diploma, some college classes preferred
  • Two years Customer Service Experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Windows Operating System

The Job

Part-Time:  25 hours per week, number of hours may vary

  • Prep scan projects
    • Organize files by project name, identify each document/box with client label and location
    • Remove staple, clips, and bindings from documents
  • Scan Documents
    • Operate scanner equipment/hardware
    • Use software to index, name, and store all information; verify quality of scanned materials; re-assemble documents
  • Assist with production process
    • Organize projects in order to meet deadlines as required; assist with procuring supplies for production projects
    • Ensure quality during and after production process
  • Answer phones in production center as needed
  • Maintain a neat, organized & inviting work area
  • Follow all safety procedures necessary in print production environment.

  • Arrive ready to work at scheduled time, actively working until end of the shift; on occasion may need to work flexible hours to complete project

  • Possess exceptional organizational skills, able to work under moderate pressure
  • Detail oriented
  • Possess the interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with all levels of associates and clients
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple responsibilities
  • Communicate clearly in verbal and written English

Physical Requirements

  • Able to stand & move easily for prolonged periods of time
  • Able to lift objects (up to 35 pounds) from floor to over waist height
  • Maintain well groomed, neat, clean appearance, complying with appearance guidelines as outlined in Associate Handbook

Wage: Commensurate with experience
