R.K. Black, Inc., an Oklahoma City-based office technology company providing solutions to businesses throughout Oklahoma and Kansas, is seeking a full-time Product Support Specialist to serve at our Olathe, Kansas location.
As our Product Support Specialist, you are responsible for having “the right item (part, supply, copy/print system) at the right place at the right time”. You apply your desire for accuracy and attention to detail to equipment set up, delivery and installation. You are the first impression our client experiences after the sale. Handling the client and their equipment with great care is paramount to a successful day at work. You will work closely with our sales, service and support teams to coordinate inventory after the purchase: receiving, technician parts replenishment, shipping supplies, performing equipment set-up, refurbishing, delivery and installation, operational checks and entering equipment network settings while in clients’ offices. The warehouse and shop are your domain for orderly, productive work you can be proud of.

Minimum Requirements:
Education:
College degree preferred, High school diploma or GED a minimum
Experience:
2 years’ experience as field technician in MFD, copier/printer environment preferred
Some college, vocational or equivalent military experience
Strong electro-mechanical skillset; technical, mechanical use of hand tools
Experience driving box trucks is a plus
On the job use of computer and software, proficient in Microsoft Office software
2 years’ general office work with emphasis on inventory management preferred
2 years’ customer service experience
Other:
Possess a valid Kansas Driver's License, be at least 21 and have reliable transportation
Essential Job Functions:
Set up new equipment and recondition returning equipment
Communicate equipment status updates to Sales & Service Teams as needed
Utilizes business process management software for
Managing inventory
Shipping and receiving local supply orders
Replenishing technician parts inventory
Pulling parts and supplies for equipment set-up & refurbishing
Ensures safe and timely delivery of equipment to clients, assists in set-up of equipment, coordinating with IT and networking staff and sales team
Receive and inspect in-bound freight and small shipping (equipment, parts and supplies)
Unbox, tag, group and stage equipment by sales order for set up
Manage the return of used equipment to lease companies and wholesalers per established proceduresCompletes and maintains appropriate paperwork as required for each specific task
Accurately fills out forms by reading numbers and letters; maintains checklists, files & accurate inventory records
Operates company equipment in a safe and responsible manner (includes forklift, stair climber, dollies & vehicles)
Assists with quarterly warehouse inventory
Safeguards inventory and all personnel involved around the work area; maintains warehouse & office in a clean & orderly fashion
Delivers parts to technicians per Parts Runner policy
Drives in a safe and courteous manner, obeys traffic signs and speed limits, avoids texting while driving

Physical Requirements:
Be able to stand and move freely, and sit for prolonged periods of time
Be able to lift heavy objects from floor to over waist height (up to 50 pounds)
Be able to carry heavy objects up and down stairs
No visible tattoos or piercings except for ear piercings for women.
Wage: Commensurate with experience
